Dogs Swim When the Pool Closes

Dog Dayz at Scott Carpenter Pool

The dog days of summer are not quite over… until your dog visits the pool! In Boulder dogs tend to be treated like family members (that is, like children that never have to grow up). I lovingly call my paillon, Ozzy Tron 3000, my fur-baby!

Just when the pool is ready to close to humans for the season there is a two-week period when your dog can swim at Scott Carpenter Pool in Boulder, Colorado. The 2018 Dog Dayz goes from September 10 – September 23. Dog Dayz has been running for more than a decade and sees over 2,000 dogs during this two-week event. They even have specific times just for small dogs to play. All sizes of dogs are welcome Monday through Friday: noon to 2:00 PM and 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Saturday and Sunday 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM, with specific small dogs (under 50 lbs) Monday through Friday: 11:00 AM – noon and 4:00 to 5:00 PM, and on the weekends, 10:00 to 11:00 AM.

It costs $5.00 per session, per dog or you can buy a pass for up to two dogs for $40 during the event.

Your dog(s) won’t want to miss the doggy paddling and ball catching fun.
